Dear Ashleigh, Araya, Trent, and Sarah:

I’ve been in your “neighborhood” a few times in my travels around Montana. I don’t have to tell you how beautiful it is in the Beartooth’s but I did want to thank you for the beautiful thing you four did.

Our state is such a magnificent place that it is hard sometimes to think that – right here in paradise – something as sad as hunger can be a problem. Too many families and seniors are having to make impossible choices between heat or medicine and food. Too many Montana children can’t think well in school because they haven’t had enough to eat. Thanks to the help you and others gave us, we are doing well in our fight. When we do end hunger in our state there will still be other sad things to work on but as long as there are folks like you who care about people’s problems – and are willing to do something to help – we’re going to be all right.
